Blossom Cookies

    Hi! welcome to my very first post as a blogger. I really hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do. blossom cookie is a wonderful thing to bake in your spare time, or for events and parties. I love these cookies because of their texture and their flavor and, as a bonus these cookies have no peanut butter, so they are allergy friendly. I adapted this recipe from welcome to the table. enjoy!


Ingredients List

  • 48 Hershey's Kisses
  • 1/2 cup of butter room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons milk


    Directions

Yields: 36 cookies    Prep Time: 20 minutes     Cook Time: 8-10 minutes

  1.     Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper. Open all the candies.
  2.    With a handheld mixer cream together the butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla until combined. in a medium bowl stir together the flour, baking soda, and salt, alternate between the Dry ingredients and the milk, mixing until blended well.

  3. Shape the cookie dough into 1-inch balls or use a 2-tablespoon cookie scoop and place on your cookie trays.
  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are golden and cookies are set.

  5. remove from oven and let cool for 3-5 minutes.
  6. once cool press a Hershey into each individual cookie.
  7. remove the cookies from the sheet pan and let cool on a wire rack completely.
  8. Now eat your yummy, delicious cookies! They can last up to a week.

  2. Hi! It is more of a chocolate chip cookie rather than a butter cookie but, it does have resemblance in texture.
